It's Your Birthday...a little CAS card

Here's a CAS card I made using a really cute Tiddly Inks image.

I coloured her up with copics and put this card together very quickly. It's a perfect card for my "Kards for Kids, HSC".

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Tiddy Inks Challenge #129 - Birthday

A Lacy Sunshine Image...

This is a card I made using a FREE Lacy Sunshine Image from the Facebook Group. It's such a cute image and I think I'm going to frame it and put it in my laundry area.

I coloured it with copics and tried to do the SKIN the way I'm learning in my on-line colouring class at Kit and Clowder. I'm pretty pleased with the way the skin looks as this is really on my 2nd or 3rd attempt at the skin using the colours suggested by Alyce Keegan at Kit and Clowder.

Have an a-MAZE-ing day

It's time for another challenge at Craft Your Passion.
Challenge #207 - Shaped Cards

This card was created using a wonderful image from Doodle Pantry. Check out all the great digis there and lots of freebies and free with purchase items:
http://doodlepantry.com/

It was pre-coloured, which made it so easy to work with. It was a bit tricky to get the card to fold open one way and the other, so that the 3 layers of scallop circles kind of zig-zag. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

I hope you'll pop over to the Craft Your Passion blog, check out the creations by our very talented Design Team, and play along.

A Teddy Bear Card for any occassion

I created this card for the latest challenge at Fitztown.
and here's the inside/side view:

The challenge this week is fancy folds and I had some fun creating this fancy fold card. It's so easy-peasy; you just use a regular A4 card and score the front in the centre at 2 1/8" and fold it back. You then decorate each panel of the card and attach the main image on the front. I used some ribbon and tied it before I adhered the front piece. Be careful placing your inside mat for writing; you don't want it peeking outside the square when the card is half open.

I hope you'll pop over and join in on the fun. Check out the blog for all the details and rules.

There's a chance to win some great Fitztown images.

A Sweet Fairy card for you

Here's a card I created for the latest challenge at One Stitch at a Time.
Challenge #206 - Anything Goes - easy-peasy to play along don't you think? No excuses not to play!

I created this card as a 6x6, and coloured this wonderful ANGELINA image with my copics. I added a flower from my stash and some neeting and gems as well. I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I may add a greeting at a later time, when I figure out who I'm giving this card to and for what occassion.

Hop on over to the blog and play along with us for a chance to win a great prize...and check out what the rest of our talented Design Team has created while you're there.

One Stitch at a Time

A Colour Along with Kit and Clowder...

I did a free on-line "Colour-Along" last night with Kit and Clowder. It's a wonderful place where a very talented person named Alyce Keegan runs an on-line community to share colouring tips and tricks and she has challenges and lots of other fun things going on.

I've played along with 3 "Colour-alongs" recently and thoroughly enjoyed each one. You have got to check out her website and also her Facebook Group to see what's going on. The group is full of talented people of all skill levels who just love to support one another and post lovely cards and have lovely comments for each other. It's such a warm and loving community to be a part of.

Kit and Clowder (Alyce Keegan)

This week's FREE Colour-Along was with a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp "Hannah Hearts" which you can find here

I decided to colour the image on Friday for the challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps due by midnight. Then I did the colour along yesterday, here's the two together...isn't it amazing how I coloured the second one at the colour-along?

I can't tell you how valuable these colour alongs are for me and I've also just begun an 8-week on-line class at Kit and Clowder for Skin and Hair, which I've barely started but I have printed out the worksheets and watched a couple of the videos. AND I'm soooo excited to be taking this course.

Pretty in Pink

I created this card using my newest Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Hannah Hearts. I'm excited about the FREE on-line "Colour Along" that is taking place tomorrow evening (Saturday March 29th) and I decided to create this card today, so I can see how much better I can colour it after/during tomorrow's colour-along !

I'm entering it in the following challenges:
Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #222 - Pretty in Pink

Happy Birthday Stingray

Here's a card I created for a friend who's birthday is a long way off...but she loves Stingrays.

and the inside:

It's another card I made as Guest Designer for Fitztown Challenges

This week's challenge is #28 - Use Dies and/or Punches.
As you can see I used a diecut frame for the image, and also some punched circles and part-circles. I love the way the black and white looks on this card, and added a little bit of black/white ribbon to give it a bit more of a girly feel. Without that bow, this would make a perfect masculine card.

I thought this image was just lovely and can see creating a variety of themed cards (i.e. Mother's Day, Birthday, Thank you, Thinking of You, Get Well...etc. with it).
I embossed half of the yellow base cardstock, cut about an 1/8" smaller than the white card base. I used ribbon from my stash and added a big fancy button in the centre of the flower. The green leaves are from my stash and add just the right amount of sparkle to the card.

Meljen's Designs - Challenge #202 - Girls Just Wanna have Fun

Here's a cute card I created for this weeks challenge at Meljen's Designs, as Guest Designer.

I used the image "A Girl and her Overalls", which you can find here:
http://meljensdesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=15_17&products_id=195

I made the card just kinda girly, with the denim and the pink (that's my style of girly, nothing too fru-fru-y) and added some glitz to the shoes and flower and overalls. I added some pearls and a stamped/paper flower too. I hope you like it.

You can enter the challenge for a chance to win some wonderful Meljen's Designs Digital Images !! Challenge rules are posted on the blog, but I must remind you that the use of a Meljen's Designs Image is required (there are FREEBIES on the website) Three random-winners are chosen each week !!

Happy Birthday Bears and a new challenge at Craft Your Passion

It's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion.

Craft Your Passion Challenge #205 - Go Green - Use green on your project and/or something recycled.

As you can see I used a lot of green on my card. I added the purple too, as I love the combo of green/purple. The only thing I kind of recycled was the bits and pieces of purple cardstock leftover from matting my image. I punched them with a circle punch and attached them to add some interest/texture to my card.

Isn't this image sooooo cute?? I just love it and can see it would make a great Baby card or almost any other occasion too.

I hope you'll pop over to the Craft Your Passion blog and play along this week for a chance to win a prize.

This is a step card which was a bit tricky the first time I tried it but once I figured out the folds it came together quickly. I used some prima flowers and gemstones from my stash to fancy-it-up. I love the soft yellow/brown colours here !! Isn't this such a cute image ? I love it.

Here's a card I created using a wonderful Sassy Cheryl image. It's been awhile since I've made some boy birthday cards...or at least it feels like it, so I created this card for a little boy. I may add it to my cards going to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children (if it passes the requirement of no choking hazard - not sure if the string is allowed).

I'm entering it in the following challenges:
