Masculine Birthday cards

I made these cards for my brother and brother-in-law for their birthdays. I pulled the image from a clipart site online, but I'm not sure which site. I typed "Flying by with a Birthday Hi" as the greeting. I used copics to add some colour and the black/white ribbon adds a nice touch without making the cards too fussy. I hope they like them.

Challenge - Kraftin' Kimmie #171 - Your Fave

http://kraftinkimmiestamps.blogspot.ca/2013/03/challenge-171-whats-your-fave.html
Here's another card for Kraftin' Kimmie's Challenge #171 - to use your Fave KKS. I love them all, but this is probably my absolute favourite one...I love the "Imagine all the people in the world..." quote from John Lennon's song "Imagine".

Challenge - Designed to Colour #10 - Hexagons

http://designedtocolor.blogspot.ca/
Here's a card I created for the Designed to Colour Challenge #10 using Hexagons. I was lucky enough to be able to use Peggy Ts Hexagon embossing plate. The bee image is a digital design from Meljen's Designs. I made a few extra for Kards for Kids too. The Greeting I used is from The Stamps of Life.

Challenge - Retro Sketch #56 & Simon Says Stamp

http://www.simonsaysstampschallenge.blogspot.ca/
http://retrosketches.blogspot.ca/
These are two cards I created using the Retro Sketch #56 as inspiration...I love how just changing the buttons makes them look so different. I also did the pen-stitching around the elements, which is very retro to me too !!

Challenge #152 - Meljen's Designs - Itsy Bitsy Teeny Weeny (& Ready Teddy Go)

http://meljensdesignsdt.blogspot.ca/2013/03/challenge-152-itsy-bitsy-teeny-weeny.html
Here's a clean and simple card I created using one of my favourite Meljen's Designs Digital Stamps...the challenge was to make a 3x3 card...so this fits the bill !! I used copics to colour it, plain satin white ribbon as an accent and polka dot background paper...rounded the corners with my Corner Chomper (a tool I just love). This would make a perfect Mother's Day card attached to a gift or flowers !! Just realized this will also qualify for the Ready-Teddy-Go "Mum's the word Challenge as this is a Mother's day card !!

Challenge #171 - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Your Fave

This week's challenge at Kraftin' Kimmie was an easy one...and a tough one at the same time. It was a challenge to use your FAVOURITE Kraftin'Kimmie Stamp...well...that's a toughy for me...I LOVE THEM ALL...after much thought, I was tied with this image from the Going Places Set and Gaia with the Imagine quote from John Lennon...so this one won out today...but there's still time for me to submit another card by midnight Friday...so keep an eye out for another card for this wonderful challenge !!

Another card - three challenges

I'm submitting this card for the "A Blog Named Hero" Challenge #22 - Freestyle (using any kind of product on a new project) I used a stamp from Rubbernecker Stamps (purchased 5 or 6 years ago; a Diamond-Plate embossing template and some ribbon. I'm also entering this in the Penny Black Challenge "One for the Boys"...thanks Ellie !

The ABC Challenge - J - Just as you like it - Anything goes

I created this card on the weekend, and would like to submit it for the ABC Challenge - J - Just as you like - or anything goes. It uses a Meljen's Designs digital image. I thought the orange papers and cat were quite good together !!

Ready Teddy Go Challenge - Mum's the word

Here's a card I created for the Ready Teddy Go Challenge - Mum's the Word. It's a challenge sponsored by The Stamp Fairy.com and I just happen to have won a Stamp Fairy Stamp recently...woo hoo !! I had a bit of trouble colouring the balloons to match the paper (using my copics) but it turned out okay.

Great Card-making Progress

Yesterday, my pal Peggy T. and I went away for the afternoon/evening/night and this morning to make cards. We got a lot done and had a blast, even though our radio station (Boom 97.3) wouldn't play Bon Jovi for us when we called !! LOL. We were very focused on getting lots of cards done for the Kards for Kids, HSC challenge for Spring cards. We also worked on other cards and Peggy played on facebook during the Kraftin' Kimmie release party !! We also made cards for a few challenges so we have a chance to win some great stuff (fingers crossed). We had a wonderful time and I'll be packaging up a big bundle to send to Bela this week, so that some of the Spring cards can be delivered by Easter weekend to the kids at Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children !! Thanks Peggy for a fun time.

Kards for Kids - Spider Birthday cards

Here's a bunch of Birthday Cards I created for Kards for Kids, HSC. They were quick and easy to make using a Meljen's Designs Digital Spider stamp; I typed the greeting below "Just droppin' in to say Happy Birthday". I'm very pleased with how these cards turned out and have made some extras for myself.

Kards for Kids - Spring Cards

I spent the day and night yesterday with my pal Peggy T. making cards. We got away from our families and had a lovely afternoon/evening of card-making. One Card - Two Challenges (Meljen's Designs & Simon Says Stamp)

Here's a card I created for Meljen's Designs Challenge to create a card with a bit of green on it. A Blog Named Hero Challenge #21

Here's a pic of a card I created for the "A Blog Named Hero Challenge #21" - JUST MAKE YOUR OWN (embellishment). I used a heart stamp and embossed a few layers of gold embossing powder on top, then used a punch to punch it out (the stamp and the punch were pretty much the exact same shape/size). I decided to go "clean and simple" with the card and also make it pop by using black as the base...I embossed the card front with the dots, then added another piece of plain (un-embossed) cardstock in the centre, added the gold heart charms with foam tape, and used a new "Your Next Stamp" greeting under the hearts. I wish I could find my gold pen to go around the edges of the cardstock with the hearts/greeting on!! LOL !!

I'm on a winning streak...

Well...you may recall last weekend I participated in a Kards for Kids Challenge...I won my showcase on THH PRICE IS RIGHT GAME...I also won the "DEAL OR NO DEAL" game...WOO HOO !! AND I submitted 30 boy cards for Kards for Kids by the end of February for the "boy card" challenge, and my name was drawn as a winner...I won an awesome prize...$25 gift certificate to YOUR NEXT STAMP !! Woo hoo !! I'm having tons of fun creating cards for challenges and most especially for "Kards for Kids"

Moving Along with the Times Challenge - Lovely Ladies

Here's a card I created for the Moving Along with the Times Challenge. The theme was "Lovely Ladies"...in other words use a lady or ladies as the focal point. I'm lucky to have been able to use the TINK stamps from Kraftin' Kimmie (I stamped this image awhile back when I was scrappin'/card-making with my pal Peggy T...it's her stamp...and I'm soooo jealous of her KKS collection...although I benefit 'cuz she allows me to use them too). I'm pleased with how this card came together...and it will go in the box for "Kards for Kids".

Kraftin' Kimmie Challenge #168 - Pastels

Here's a pretty clean and simple card I created using one of my favourite KK stamps. The challenge was to use pastel colours on our creation. I'm pleased with how this turned out and will be sending it in with more cards I've created for "Kards for Kids".

My Favorite Things Challenge #113

Here's a card I created using a Meljen's Design digital image (such a cute smiley cupcake). The card is based on the sketch provided by MFTs. You can barely see the wee tiny gems added as sprinkles in the picture...but they sure add dimension and sparkle. The "Seize the cupcake" greeting is from a cupcake set I bought a few years ago... unfortunately I don't know the manufacturer 'cuz it's not on the storage sheet !! I'm sending this card to my pal Alex J. who is away at University...she LOVES cupcakes, and I thought it was bright and cheery and would make her day, especially since she's in Sudbury (I can't even imagine how cold and dreary it is there).
