What I've been up to...

Well it's been a busy few weeks for me.  My BFF and her Mom have formed a little on-line venture, where we make hand-knit-crocheted items for sale.  I've been working like a fiend knitting these wonderful RIPPLE Scarves to sell, and have sold 10 already !!  My BFF has been making some really cool and funky crocheted hats for kids (a cow, a monster and a giraffe to name a few) and her Mom is a fantastic knitter of baby clothes.  There's a link on the sidebard of my blog to take you to our website...it's a work in progress right now, but we hope to have products pictures up and running by Labour Day !!

I will post some pics of the items here in the next few days...stay tuned !!

Kraftin' Kimmies Challenge #142

It's been awhile since I've posted anything to this blog, but I'm BAAAACK !!  I completed the KK Blog challenge yesterday and here's my creation.  It's pretty simple...I coloured the image using Copic markers and just used scraps of paper I had on hand to actually put the card together...YAY !!

Here's my submission for Kraftin' Kimmies Stamps sketchy Challenge #129.  I have kept it simple as it will be donated to "Kards for Kids" and I can't have brads, buttons, rhinestones, etc. on the cards.  I think it turned out pretty good, and I'm getting the hang of the copic colouring.  This is the stamp I won for participating in a previous Kraftin' Kimmies challenge.  I have left the sentiment off as I haven't decided if it's going to be a Thank You card or Birthday card.

Here's my submission for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Challenge #125 (sketch-based challenge).

You can't see the glitter I added to parts of the bike..or the glitter dots on the paper behind it, but it looks pretty cute in person !!  All in all, I'm very pleased with how it turned out.

Here's the card I created for Kraftin' Kimmies Weekly Challenge #122 - Heavy Metal ! I am just learning to "play" with Copics and had lots of fun with this one.  You can't see clearly on the picture, but I used a SPICA clear glitter pen to highlight the wings and the reigns.  The heavy metal part is metal-rimmed rhinestone brads from K & Company.  I hope you like it !!

I had a wonderful day yesterday at the local Salvation Army Church Hall scrappin' and card-making with my pal Peggy T.  The day was a fund raiser for the Breast Cancer walk !  I was glad to have a full day set aside for scrappin' and card-making !  I worked on some Disney pages from our recent  trip (January 21st to 28th, 2012); and also created several birthday cards for the KARDS FOR KIDS at Toronto's Sick Kids Hospital; a wonderful, worthy cause.  Am looking forward to getting together with my pal Wanda D. to do some more scrappin' tomorrow (Family Day).
