A little kitty lover

I created this card for the latest challenge over at
Brown Sugar Challenge Blog.

Challenge #158 - Anything Goes
Sponsored by My Besties

I used the image Kaylee #931 which can be found here in the My Besties Shop.

I colorued her with copics and kept my card pretty CAS.  I actually printed the image a bit larger than I usually do, so I had to use a 6.5 x 5" card base.  I used a Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps Sentiment.

I'm pleased with how it turned out,  I hope you're inspired to play along at Brown Sugar this week with us.  I can't wait to see what you create.

You shine

I created this card for the latest challenge over at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog.

Challenge #153
Red, White and Blue

I used this cute fireworks image from Stitchy Bear Outlet.

I coloured the image and added some stickles to it to make it sparkle.  Sorry it didn't photograph well...I tried several times to get a good shot of it.

I was going to add a Happy 4th of July sentiment to it, for some of my U.S. friends, but then found this stamp in my stash of many Close to My Heart stamps and it was just perfect.

I hope you like it, and that I've inspired you to play along this week at Brown Sugar.

Thanks for stopping by.

Fun in the Sun (reading in the park anyone?)

One of my favourite summer activities is Reading \
(inside in the A/C or outside).

I created this cute card to reflect one of my summer activities for the latest challenge

Summer Fun
Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

I used Lizabeth Summer in the Park by Lacy Sunshine which can be found here.

I used oranges and pinks with a 70's feel to colour her outfit as she seemed a little hippie-like to me.  I'm pleased with how she turned out and I' dying to get outside and read in the next few days, now that school has ended for my son and SUMMER HOLIDAYS have officially begun.  (although Im not off EVERY day of the summer, I'm lucky enough to have quite a bit of time to spend with my son).

Have FUN IN THE SUN EVERYONE...don't forget to pop over to Brown Sugar to play along, and also to our wonderful Sponsor Lacy Sunshine.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
1. Simply Papercraft Challenges - Challenge #7 - Anything goes

Pretty in Pink

I created this cute Pink Lady for the latest challenge at

Sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs

I used a ribbon for the bow and thought the flower on top of the parasol could count as my flower, along with her petal-like skirt.

I coloured this cute image Bloom Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs, which can be found here.

I hope I've inspired you to play along this week at Brown Sugar.

Make a Wish

It's time again for another challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge blog.

I coloured this lovely image by Lacy Sunshine using copics.
The image is called Fairy Godmother Sugi and can be found here.

I added stickles to the ruffly lace skirt under her navy skirt
(but it's hard to see in the photo)
and also made the pink hat sash sparkly with stickes.

I had fun with this colour combo for sure.
I hope you like what I've created and are inspired to play along
with us this week at BSCB.

Don't forget to pop over to Lacy Sunshine
and see all the lovely images there.

Sending you some sweet Angels

One can never have too many Angels around them !  I created this card for the latest challenge at Brown Sugar.

the image is from Robyn's Fetish and is called ANGEL CHORUS - it can be found here.

I had fun colouring these little angles in purple and pink but couldn't find my stickles to add a little glitter to their wings.
I kept the card pretty CAS and just added a little bit of bling with the pearls.  I hope you like it.

Come on over and play along for a chance to win a prize.

A flower for you and another challenge at Brown Sugar !

Here's a card I created with an image by Digi Darla called "Large Bloomer".

I thought this image was just lovely and can see creating a variety of themed cards (i.e. Mother's Day, Birthday, Thank you, Thinking of You, Get Well...etc. with it).
I embossed half of the yellow base cardstock, cut about an 1/8" smaller than the white card base. I used ribbon from my stash and added a big fancy button in the centre of the flower. The green leaves are from my stash and add just the right amount of sparkle to the card.

I hope you'll pop on over to the Brown Sugar Design Challenge blog and play along. The theme for this challenge #86 is Anything Goes (the easiest kind of challenge).

A Sassy Disney Birthday card

Here's my latest creation for the Brown Sugar Challenge Blog - Challenge #78 - Embossing.

I used a Sassy Design Studio image "Sassy Disney Fan"

Check out the image here:

The challenge this week is to use embossing and I couldn't resist the polka dot embossing folder for this cute image. I think the red/pink/black colour combo really makes this pop !!

Hope you'll come over and play

A new challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge Blog

Challenge #76 this week at the Brown Sugar challenge blog is to USE CHALK ! I created the background using chalk to create the clouds. It's super-duper easy to do...just punch two part circles with a circle punch, lay it down on your card base starting at the bottom of your card and working up, and chalk into the edges. I think it makes for a great effect.

This week our sponsor is Stitchy Bear Digi Outlet

Happy Thanksgiving - Brown Sugar Challenge #68

Here's a lovely little Thanksgiving card I created using an image from Bugaboo Stamps. I used glossy accents on the pumpkin to make it shiny and plump.

You can check out the challenge here:
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com.br/

You can find the image here in the Bugaboo shop (check out the current Friday Freebie Bugaboo offers each week too while you are there):
http://bugaboostamps.3dcartstores.com/

I hope you'll join us this week in the challenge and create a Thanksgiving card of your own. I am saving this card for next year, as here in Canada we celebrate Thanksgiving in October, not November like in the U.S.

Brown Sugar Challenge #66 - Things with Wings

Here's my DT card for the current challenge at "Brown Sugar Challenges".
http://brownsugarchallenge.blogspot.com.br/

The theme is "things with wings" My image is from Digi Darla and can be found here:
http://www.digidarladesigns.com/Digidarlas-Quilted-Owl-1_p_2088.html

I coloured the image with copics, added some pearls around the image and on the edge of the card. The wee little white bow is tied using a "fork" as an easy-peasy way of doing a tiny bow. I added some pen stitching around the image to give it a sewn feel like the owl has.

The sentiment is from The Stamps of Life
http://www.stephaniebarnardstamps.com/index.htm

I sure hope you'll head on over to Brown Sugar Challenge Blog and see what the rest of the Design Team came up with as inspiration. Good luck in the challenge.

I'm also entering this card in the following challenge:
