You're the BOSS on your Birthday

I created this card for my nephew's 16th Birthday.

His favourite colour is red, so of course I coloured this BOSS 302 Mustang in red.  Hubby was very particular in telling me where the black stripe goes, how the wheels should be coloured and the grill etc.  All in all, I'm pleased with how it turned out, but it was a bit stressful colouring it with a car fanatic's input.

The image is an old image from Fitztown.

Grad Card

I created this GRAD card for my nephew Samuel who graduated from Grade 8 this week.

I used the image PENCIL NERDS by Sassy Cheryl.

Don't you just love this?  I thought it was a cute card.  Inside I attached a little popped up pocket to hold a gift card.

I'm pleased with how it turned out.

Fun in the Sun (reading in the park anyone?)

One of my favourite summer activities is Reading \
(inside in the A/C or outside).

I created this cute card to reflect one of my summer activities for the latest challenge

Summer Fun
Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

I used Lizabeth Summer in the Park by Lacy Sunshine which can be found here.

I used oranges and pinks with a 70's feel to colour her outfit as she seemed a little hippie-like to me.  I'm pleased with how she turned out and I' dying to get outside and read in the next few days, now that school has ended for my son and SUMMER HOLIDAYS have officially begun.  (although Im not off EVERY day of the summer, I'm lucky enough to have quite a bit of time to spend with my son).

Have FUN IN THE SUN EVERYONE...don't forget to pop over to Brown Sugar to play along, and also to our wonderful Sponsor Lacy Sunshine.

Dancing in Heaven...

I made this non-traditional sympathy card for a friend of mine who lost her Mother.  Her Mother was a quadriplegic for 37 years and she said that she was picturing her Mom young and beautiful and DANCING in Heaven.

I can't wait to hear her reaction when she receives this card.  I do hope she loves it as much as I do.  I really enjoyed colouring it thinking of her Mother finally free from her difficulties here in this lifetime.

Birthday Balloons

I created this cute card using this wonderful image Thea Boos Balloons from Lacy Sunshine for the latest challenge

You can find the image here.

I printed the image once on my cardstock for colouring, and a 2nd time on the red heart patterned paper, and paper pieced the skirt and bow.  it was a little fiddly as the image is small, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Here's a look at the inside of the card.
