It's Short Girls Appreciation Day...

...and I made this card for one of the sweetest "short" people I know...my niece!!

She's so sweet and is always getting teased because she is short, especially since her younger sister is quite a bit taller than her.

I hope she likes this card. I used purple tones because that's her favourite colour.

It's for Humour Me Wednesday over at Catch the Bug / Bugaboo

I'm still enjoying playing along as Guest Designer

I hope she likes this card when she opens it
(I mailed it in plenty of time to arrive for this date)
and even wrote DO NOT OPEN UNTIL DECEMBER 21ST
on the envelope.

Thanks for popping by today to my little piece of blogland.

I used the image DANICA which can be found HERE in the Art by Miran shop.

I had fun colouring her hair and skirt and won't lie this was a challenging image.
I'd like to give it a go again as I'm not totally pleased with my colouring,

Birthday Stars

I created this card for the latest challenge over at

Sponsored by Lemon Shortbread

I used the image 80's Star Girl which can be found HERE in the Lemon Shortbread shop.

I coloured this image with copics and did stitching around all the bits on the card (with the exception of the star).  It is a labour intenstive thing to do as i have to hand pierce the holes first then stitch as I don't have a machine.

Happy Spring

I created this card for the latest challenge over at

Theme - Favourite Technique
(Chalking is something I'm obsessed with these days)
Sponsored by Oddball Art

I used the image Sara and Animal Friends which can be found HERE in the Oddball Art shop.

This week's challenge is all about your favourite technique.
While I love many different techniques, my favourite seems to be
chalking the backgrounds of my cards lately,
so this is what I've chosen to do this time around.

Enjoy your day

I created this card for the latest challenge over at

Theme - Always Anything Goes
Sponsored by A Day for Daisies

I used the image Hepbern Dress which can be found HERE

I coloured this with coics and added a chalked background in soft yellow chalk.  It looks much better in "real life", but you'll have to trust me on that!!
I added a sentiment and a few little rhinestones to give it a little bling.

I hope I've inspired you to play along with us at Lil' Patch of Crafty Friends this week.

Snow White

I used this cute image that looks like Snow White for my latest creation for the latest challeng over at CAGI (Come and Get It Challenges)

Challenge #86
More than one fold

Front view
 Fold view
 Inside view

You can find the image  SNOW WHITE from Saturated Canary here.

I coloured her with copics and double-matted her.  I used a stand 4.25 x 5.5" card base and folded the front in half to attach the matted image.  I stamped a little apple on the inside of the card to give it a little more pop.  The polka dot border is washi tape from my stash.

I hope you like what I've created an inspired to play along at CAGI.
