Happy Summer

I created this card for the latest challenge over at

Theme - Always Anything Goes
Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

I used the image Reggie - Let's BBQ which can be found HERE in the Lacy Sunshine shop.

I coloured this image with copics and kept my card CAS.
I used the red/white checked ribbon as an accent (which looks like a tablecloth to me)
I thought the HAPPY SUMMER sentiment was perfect for this card.

I hope I've inspired you to play along with us at Craft Your Passion (CYP)  this week.

Sweetest day

Wishing you the sweetest day...speaking of which, I used the image Sweetest Day Love Notes Fairy by Lacy Sunshine for my latest creation.  It also happens to be my very first post as a DT member for Creative Knockouts.

I'm excited to be a part of this wonderful DT in the months ahead.

Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

You can get the image right here

I coloured her with copics and to be honest I mixed up my markers while I was colouring and used a light pink in place of a purple for part of it...but I liked how it was blending so I kept it.

Shhhh...just a little creative opportunity (not really a mistake, right??)

I do hope you'll play along with us this week at Creative Knockouts Challenge.  Surely you can play along with this theme of Flower Power.

I hope to see you there...

Fun in the Sun (reading in the park anyone?)

One of my favourite summer activities is Reading \
(inside in the A/C or outside).

I created this cute card to reflect one of my summer activities for the latest challenge

Summer Fun
Sponsored by Lacy Sunshine

I used Lizabeth Summer in the Park by Lacy Sunshine which can be found here.

I used oranges and pinks with a 70's feel to colour her outfit as she seemed a little hippie-like to me.  I'm pleased with how she turned out and I' dying to get outside and read in the next few days, now that school has ended for my son and SUMMER HOLIDAYS have officially begun.  (although Im not off EVERY day of the summer, I'm lucky enough to have quite a bit of time to spend with my son).

Have FUN IN THE SUN EVERYONE...don't forget to pop over to Brown Sugar to play along, and also to our wonderful Sponsor Lacy Sunshine.

You can find the image here.

I printed the image once on my cardstock for colouring, and a 2nd time on the red heart patterned paper, and paper pieced the skirt and bow.  it was a little fiddly as the image is small, but I'm happy with how it turned out.

Make a Wish

It's time again for another challenge at Brown Sugar Challenge blog.

I coloured this lovely image by Lacy Sunshine using copics.
The image is called Fairy Godmother Sugi and can be found here.

I added stickles to the ruffly lace skirt under her navy skirt
(but it's hard to see in the photo)
and also made the pink hat sash sparkly with stickes.

I had fun with this colour combo for sure.
I hope you like what I've created and are inspired to play along
with us this week at BSCB.
