Car Crazy Chick - Happy Birthday Card !!

Here's a card I created for a Car Crazy Chick. It uses a Kraftin' Kimmie image and trinket. I embossed the card base, stamped the image on a top-note diecut, popped it off the card and used twine across the top to accent it. I'm entering it in the Kraftin' Kimmie Stamp challenge this week - theme - Anything goes !!

Confirmation Card for my nephew

Here's a confirmation card I made for my nephew's Confirmation tomorrow. I'm pleased with how it came out...clean and simple and classic. I used a sticker on white cardstock, matted it in blue, embossed the card base, popped the sticker/cardstock up with foam tape and tied ribbon around the card under the image. Another "cool" birthday card !!

Here's a card I created using what seems to be one of my favourite digital images right now...this cute penguin juggling scoops of ice cream...I think he/she's called Poppi !! I'm pleased with how this turned out and I'm entering it in the Catch the Bug - Bingo Challenge (I used brown, blue - see the sunglass lenses and the bling on the greeting is coloured blue using my copic markers, and a diecut scallop circle).

Here's a CAS Birthday card I created using a really cute Bugaboo digital image. I think this image could be used on a whole variety of cards (brithday, get well, Hello, Thinking of you, etc.) The picture is a little blurry because my phone battery wasn't strong enough to take a clear picture...the greeting on the bottom right of the card is from The Stamps of Life "Happy Birthday" I'm entering it in the Addicted to CAS Challenge ATCAS#13 - Brithday, which just so happens is sponsored by Bugaboo !!

Two baby cards !!

Happy Mother's Day Card - Meljen's Challenge #159

Here's a clean and simple (CAS) card I created for Mother's Day. It just so happens it can be entered in the Meljen's Designs Challenge this week "Mom, Mother, Mommy". The cute Meljen's image is so perfect for Mother's Day. I added a computer generated greeting, matted it in black to make it pop and put the basic black/white ribbon down the side...not too fru-fru-y !!

I won !!

Oh my...how could I forget to post my win from the online card class "His and Hers Cards" I won on Monday May 6th !! I was lucky enough to win a $50 gift card to Ellen Hutson. It was randomly chosen from all the gallery submissions. I'm sooooo happy I participated in this class and did the homework and posted cards to the galleries. Woo hoo !! If you've ever considered taking on-line classes, I HIGHLY recommend these classes hosted by Kristina Werner and Jennifer McGuire (and lots of other wonderful guest instructors). I've loved every one of them and you can go back and review and watch videos and reprint instructions etc. at anytime as you have lifetime access to the classes once you've registered.

A little Hello card

Happy Mother's Day Card

I'm submitting this Mother's Card for three challenges. The first is Meljen's Designs "what's the point" challenge, which is to incorporate something with points (hoping the banner with the pointy end counts, or at least the point on the bottom of the heart!!). This cute image is from Meljen's Designs. I used copics to colour it and addes Stickles to the heart to make it sparkle, which leads me to the 2nd challenge I'm submitting this for...The ABC Challenge - M - Make it Sparkle. The last challenge is Retro Sketches #62.

Challenge - Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps #177 - It's a Banner Day

Here's a card I created using one of my favourite KKS images "Gaia". The challenge was to use a banner or banners on your creation so I used a Simon Says Stamp banner die and stamp set to create the greeting. I coloured white card stock with my copics to make the stripes down the right side of the card. I think I can also count this in the Kraftin' Kimmie Krop Challenge #1 - use KRAFT on your creation !! Woo Hoo !!

Here are two Sympathy cards I created for Day 3 homework. I used the "Branches for Flowers" Stamp set from the Stamps of Life. I feel that even though the flowers are blue on the one card, it's more feminine. I'm loving the challenge of creating feminine and masculine cards using similar designs.
