April Mid-Month Inspiration at Fitztown

It's time for some mid-month inspiration for the latest challenge at Fitztown

I used Easter 5 for my creation.

I had a lot of fun colouring up this cute bunny and figured it would make a cute card for this time of year.  I hope you like it and are inspired to play along with us this month at Fitztown.

March Mid-Month Inspiration from Fitztown

It's time for some mid-month Inspiration for the latest challenge at Fitztown.
As always the challenge is Anything Goes with a twist.  This month the twist is use GREEN.
I used Fish2 for this card
I decided to colour my image green, and use some green parchment cardstock for the background. This makes a great card for a man or boy and I loved addind the netting to the card to give it a cool texture and effect.

I hope you like what I've created and will play along this week with us at Fitztown.

February Mid-Month Inspiration from Fitztown

It's the middle of February and that means it's time for some mid-month inspiration for the latest challenge at Fitztown

with a twist to "have a heart" or use a heart on your creation

I used Valentine 13 for my card.

I had fun trying to use stippling technique on my bear.
In person this card looks a bit better than in the photo...it's hard to get the angel quite right to show the fur of the bear.

I hope you like it and I do know it's a bit later for Valentine's Day
this year but I will put it away for next year !!

I hope I've inspired you to play along this month for our challenge at Fitztown

A little Fitztown inspiration for the January monthly challenge...

It's time for a little inspiration for the January challenge at Fitztown

I used the image 4 Fairy Children which can be found here.

I coloured this image with copics, added some stickles and pearls and it was complete.  I sent this card off to a sweet friend who is going through some health issues (she loved it).

I hope I've inspired you to play along this month at Fitztown.
I look forward to seeing what you create.

An elegant lady

I created this card for the latest challenge at Fitztown
using the image Cameo 1

I had fun colouring her up with my copics and her skin was a bit of a challenge for me as I printed the image quite large.  The roses were done using 3 shades of pinks and the feather is supposed to be silver (using some grays).  I matted her on a lovely shiny silver paper and managed to find some lovely bright pink cardstock to give it a bit of pop.

I was undecided about the sentiment, so I left it off.  This may end up being a birthday card for one of my nieces and at that time I'll stamp a sentiment inside or write a note.

I hope you like it and that you are inspired to play along this week with our Silver and Pink Challenge at Fitztown.

It's time for another challenge over at Fitztown...this week the theme is Love/Anniversary and I created this very CAS (Clean and Simple) and elegant card

I used the image Valentine12 which can be found here.

I coloured this with copics and used some chalk around the image to give it a little texture.  I hope you like it and will pop over to Fitztown and play along this week.

It's time for another day of inspiration from me for this week's challenge at Fitztown
Challenge #54 Animals.

I used this lovely Tiger image which can be found here.

I coloured the image with a couple of orange copic markers, used a circle die to cut it out and then matted it on a dark orange circle.  I decided to add interest by cutting a hole in the front of my card like a window and adhering the image onto the inside of the card.  I had this wonderful halloween twine, which goes perfectly with this great tiger image.  A little "It's your birthday" greeting on the bottom corner and voila my card is done.

I hope I've inspired you to play along this week at Fitztown

It's getting to feel a lot like FALL....

Here in Southern Ontario, we've suddenly experienced a drop in temperatures and it sure feels like FALL is just around the corner.

I crated this card for the latest challenge at Fitztown.
Challenge #54 - Fall Colours

The image I used is GARDEN 7 and can be found here.

Fitztown Creative Inspiration

Well it's my turn to provide you with some creative inspiration for this week's challenge at Fitztown.

This week the challenge is Fantasy and I've used this wonderful new image FAE Fairy Cameo, which can be found here on Etsy.

I coloured her with copics and used some chalks to add some subtle colour to the background. I used some bling on the bottom corner of the card which reminded me a bit of the pattern in her dress.  The wings are blue/gray and have a touch of sparkle to them (but it didn't really show up well in this photo).

I had a great time with this image and even coloured her hair in a bit of a funky colour too !!

I hope I've inspired you to play along with this fun challenge.

Thinking of you

Well it's time for another challenge at Fitztown

This week's challenge #50 is Banners / Pennants.

Here's what I created with the lovely image Flower set of 6 which can be found on Etsy here.

I coloured this with copics and double-matted it to really make it pop.
If you know me, you know I love CAS cards and this one is one of those !!
I love how the image is so prominent !!

I hope you'll pop over to the Fitztown Challenge Blog and play along...it's an easy challenge having to add a banner or pennant !!

This is the easiest challenge of all, as you can create whatever you'd like.  I sure you hope you like the lovely card I created and are going to play along.

My card is pretty CAS (Clean and Simple) but I think it will be perfect for a birthday card a thank you card or just a little note to someone.

Hope to see you playing along.

A new week...a new challenge at Fitztown

Hey everyone, it's time for a new challenge at Fitztown !

This week the Challenge #35 is Feminine creations.  Easy-peasy for most of us, as I suspect we all make lots of Feminine cards and projects.

My card this week uses a really cute Teddy Bear image which can be found here.

I coloured it with copics and added the flowers and lace to give it a really feminine touch.  I tried to do a stippling effect on the teddy bears and I think it does give a bit of texture to them.

I hope you like it, and I hope it inspires you to play along with us at Fitztown this week.

Have fun and Good luck.

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

It's Friday and time for a Fitztown Design Team Day for me...

Oh boy...this was a fun one...this week the theme at Fitztown is SHABBY CHIC (Challenge #34)  I've always loved seeing the shabby chic cards and scrapbook layouts, but haven't really succeeded in creating much in the Shabby Chic style, so this was a challenge for me.

I used this great image called CAR3 (which can be found here) as the starting point for my card, and figured I could turn an old truck into a Shabby Chic card pretty easily.

Hmmmm...it was an interesting journey creating this card.  I found some old distressed blue wood paper and also this grey distressed paper and thought I'd be able to incorporate it into a shabby chic card.  I used a distressing tool from Close to My Heart (which I just had to buy several years ago, and honestly this is likely the 2nd time I've used it).  Funny how we just "have to have" something and then don't use it !!  I was glad to give this lonely tool a purpose for this card !!

I coloured my image with copics and kinda mucked up the ground, but hey it's a shabby card, so I'm letting it go as is !!  I inked the edges of my coloured image and used the distressing tool around the edge of the cardstock mat to make it look "shabby". and around the shabby grey paper too.  I used some plain ol' fashioned string along the edge of the card and frayed it a bit to also give that shabby look.

Overall, I'm quite pleased with myself for having achieved a shabby look to my card, and also for adding another much-need masculine card to my stash.

I hope you'll hop over the blog and play along with us at Fitztown and create a SHABBY CHIC project of your own !!

A Teddy Bear Card for any occassion

I created this card for the latest challenge at Fitztown.
and here's the inside/side view:

The challenge this week is fancy folds and I had some fun creating this fancy fold card. It's so easy-peasy; you just use a regular A4 card and score the front in the centre at 2 1/8" and fold it back. You then decorate each panel of the card and attach the main image on the front. I used some ribbon and tied it before I adhered the front piece. Be careful placing your inside mat for writing; you don't want it peeking outside the square when the card is half open.

I hope you'll pop over and join in on the fun. Check out the blog for all the details and rules.

There's a chance to win some great Fitztown images.

Happy Birthday Stingray

Here's a card I created for a friend who's birthday is a long way off...but she loves Stingrays.

and the inside:

It's another card I made as Guest Designer for Fitztown Challenges

This week's challenge is #28 - Use Dies and/or Punches.
As you can see I used a diecut frame for the image, and also some punched circles and part-circles. I love the way the black and white looks on this card, and added a little bit of black/white ribbon to give it a bit more of a girly feel. Without that bow, this would make a perfect masculine card.

We have some fantastic prizes to be won from Fitztown Store.
