I coloured this image with copics and di some hand piercing and hand stitching around the patterned papers.  It's hard to see in the photo. 

 I used a sentiment from Stampin' Up from several years ago, 

which I think is just PAR-fect for this creation.

I'm sooooo very excited about this announcement...

For those of you who know me, know I can get pretty excited about things...

and it's hard for me to contain my enthusiasm sometimes...

so you know when I say 

WOO HOO 

I'm yelling it !!!

I'm soooo very excited to report that I'm a Guest Designer for 

Kit and Clowder !!

OMG...OMG...OMG...I can hardly contain my excitement...seriously..OMG.

This is such a wonderful opportunity for me !!

Kit and Clowder is a wonderful community of creative people headed by the lovely and talented Alyce Keegan (a former Krafty Girl from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps).  She's an amazingly talented lady who has put together a wonderful website offering the MOST AMAZING on-line colouring classes EVER !! (in my humble opinion)

I've been taking the Skin and Hair Class there for a little over a month and have seen tremendous improvement in my colouring skills and just in general how I look at images and colouring.  I cannot say enough about this class and the wonderful community around it.

All the classes are on-line and unlimited access is provided.  There's lot of resources, printouts and practice sheets to work on, along with feedback from Alyce Keegan to help with your progress.  It really is amazing!

There are several project-based classes too...and a wonderful Light Source class has also been added to the Skin and Hair class (and as a stand-alone class too).

There's a Facebook page too, which I've enjoyed being a part of.  There's tons of talented people posting their cards and colouring and just in general sharing their enthusiasm for copic (and other) colouring.

A Teddy Bear Card for any occassion

I created this card for the latest challenge at Fitztown.

and here's the inside/side view:

The challenge this week is fancy folds and I had some fun creating this fancy fold card. It's so easy-peasy; you just use a regular A4 card and score the front in the centre at 2 1/8" and fold it back. You then decorate each panel of the card and attach the main image on the front. I used some ribbon and tied it before I adhered the front piece. Be careful placing your inside mat for writing; you don't want it peeking outside the square when the card is half open.

Here's a card I created for a friend who's birthday is a long way off...but she loves Stingrays.

It's another card I made as Guest Designer for Fitztown Challenges

This week's challenge is #28 - Use Dies and/or Punches.
As you can see I used a diecut frame for the image, and also some punched circles and part-circles. I love the way the black and white looks on this card, and added a little bit of black/white ribbon to give it a bit more of a girly feel. Without that bow, this would make a perfect masculine card.

Here's a cute card I created for this weeks challenge at Meljen's Designs, as Guest Designer.

I made the card just kinda girly, with the denim and the pink (that's my style of girly, nothing too fru-fru-y) and added some glitz to the shoes and flower and overalls. I added some pearls and a stamped/paper flower too. I hope you like it.

You give me Wings...and another challenge at Fitztown

This is a step card which was a bit tricky the first time I tried it but once I figured out the folds it came together quickly. I used some prima flowers and gemstones from my stash to fancy-it-up. I love the soft yellow/brown colours here !! Isn't this such a cute image ? I love it.

Another Challenge at Fitztown

There's another challenge going on all week (until Sunday) at Fitztown.

I created this card for Challenge #26 - Spring Colours (I sure hope orange and green can be considered spring colours as I found it a very cheery colour combo that made me think of and wish for spring!)

I added the Thank You sentiment but I'm sure this image is versatile enough for many occasions.

Meljen's Designs - Challenge #194 - Not Just Black and White

This week's challenge over at Meljen's Designs is a fun one...Not Just Black and White (use black and white + 1 colour). As a penguin fanatic, I found this challenge to be super fun 'cuz I can use a cute penguin image for it. It's my 2nd challenge as a Guest Designer, and I'm sure having fun !

I coloured the image with copics and found this two-tone blue patterned paper in my stash which I think works really well with the colours I used. I also used Stickles on the brim and pom-pom and glossy accents on the mug. The sentiment is from Kraftin' Kimmie and I used some metallic prima flowers from my stash (they look a bit greeny-blue in the photo, but look better in real life).
