Fitztown Creative Inspiration

Well it's my turn to provide you with some creative inspiration for this week's challenge at Fitztown.

This week the challenge is Fantasy and I've used this wonderful new image FAE Fairy Cameo, which can be found here on Etsy.

I coloured her with copics and used some chalks to add some subtle colour to the background. I used some bling on the bottom corner of the card which reminded me a bit of the pattern in her dress.  The wings are blue/gray and have a touch of sparkle to them (but it didn't really show up well in this photo).

I had a great time with this image and even coloured her hair in a bit of a funky colour too !!

I hope I've inspired you to play along with this fun challenge.

Fitztown - For the Kids challenge

There's a new challenge at Fitztown !

Challenge #48 - For the Kids

I've used a really cute image le5 from the Last Enchanter series of images.

My son and husband LOVE the game "Clash of Clans" and this image reminded me of that game.  I guess she'd be an Archer in the game !!  I wanted to keep an earthy feel to the card, so I used mostly brown tones.  I've left the sentiment off this card because quite honestly I'm not sure if it will be a birthday card or something else !!  How cute is this image?  Don't ya just love it?

I hope I've inspired you to play along this week.  There are sooo many possibilities for creating a card For the Kids on this challenge.  I look forward to seeing what you create !!

Friday Inspiration at Fitztown

It's another Inspiration Friday at Fitztown.  Here's what I made to go along with this week's challenge

Challenge #45 - Browns.

I used this great masculine image SPORTS 9 which can be found here.

Who can't use more masculine cards in their stash, right?

I used some burlap strips I had on hand, coloured the image with copics and chalked the water and sky.  The enamel buttons are made by melting Perler beads in the oven.
They are a perfect addition to my card as they add texture/dimension without being too "girly".

I do hope you'll play along with us on this challenge.
It's pretty easy to use browns on just about any creation, especially a masculine card like this.

It's Friday and another Design Day for me at Fitztown

Can you guess the theme of this week's challenge at Fitztown?
If you guessed LOVE or Valentine's Day...you're wrong...

Challenge #43 - Pick a Holiday
I chose Valentine's Day (which isn't really a holiday, but it should be)

This week I had fun with the VALENTINE 13 image.

I created this shaped Valentine's Day card by printing the image fairly large and cutting it out.
Then I cut a back (inside) piece too and attached them together after
printing "Happy Valentine's Day" on the inside piece.
I also added some pearls to the heart to dress it up a little bit.
Here's a look at it inside:

I am very pleased with how this turned out.

I hope you'll play along with us for the current challenge here at Fitztown
