Mustang Birthday Card

I created this card for my nephew's birthday. He's a big Mustang fan like we are. I tried to replicate the Grabber-blue colour here, but I'm not sure I did it. I used a diamond plate embossing folder for the textured background.

I used a charm, some rhinestones and some ribbon from my stash. I coloured her with my Copics and added some lace from stash (kinda my thing lately - lace)

Go Canada Go !

Sorry to my American friends...I couldn't resist this.

Here's a card I created today after the Canadian Men's Hockey team beat the Americans to advance to the Gold Medal game in Sochi at the 2014 Olympics.

It uses a really cute Cheryl Alger Image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I also should mention that I watched the women's game yesterday afternoon and bit all my nails off during it, as Canada came from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game with about 3 minutes left. Then they won in 4 on 4 overtime. Glad that's over...way to go Women's Team Canada Hockey team.

Thinking of You...and another challenge at One Stitch at a Time

I created this Thinking of You card using a wonderful image from Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet.

I printed it in blue tones, and trimmed it up so that it had a white border, like an old-fashioned photo.
I printed the sentiment directly on top of the image using Word.

The card has a funky fold on it, which allows it to stand nicely but makes a nice change for a standard card.

Kraftin' Kimmie Bowl - Challenge #3 - Something Old (not just me - LOL)

I've created this card for the 3rd Challenge of today for the Kraftin' Kimmie Bowl. I'm having so much fun !!

This card started out as something totally different that didn't quite work out...so rather than a mistake it was a creative opportunity. I turned it into a shaker box (something I haven't made for awhile) and used some very old glittery paper to frame the image.

It's really purple and green, but the photograph makes the trinket look blue...in person it matches much better !!

My quickest card EVER!!!

I created this card this morning for the Meljen's Designs Challenge #195 - Time's Up (create a card in under 30 minutes) !!

This card took me a whole 3 minutes if you count printing it on my computer, colouring it up and adding Stickles, folding it, and chomping the corners !!

Okay...okay...I know it's not very elaborate, but it fits the bill for what I need for Kards for Kids, HSC cards (no embellishments/choking hazards) and it's pretty darn cute if you ask me. I'm going to make about a dozen more to send along to the kids.
