Sad news...

I'm very saddened to be sharing this news...a dear, sweet fellow DT member at Kit and Clowder, former Krafty Gal and on-line friend of mine, passed away very suddenly yesterday.

Amanda Reed will be greatly missed by her family, her husband Joe, their cats and many friends in the blogging/crafting community.

Alyce Keegan of Kit and Clowder is a dear friend of Amanda's 

and has set up a fundraiser for her family.  

You can make a donation here if you feel so inclined

Please take a moment to tell those around you what they mean to you.

If you've been following my blog at all you'll see that my colouring has improved in leaps and bounds since starting the Skin and Hair class.  over at Kit and Clowder.  I can't wait to get into the Clothing class soon (I've signed up and printed the class booklet, and done a little reading)

Sending you some sweet Angels

One can never have too many Angels around them !  I created this card for the latest challenge at Brown Sugar.

Brown Sugar Challenge #110 - Lace

the image is from Robyn's Fetish and is called ANGEL CHORUS - it can be found here.

I had fun colouring these little angles in purple and pink but couldn't find my stickles to add a little glitter to their wings.  

I kept the card pretty CAS and just added a little bit of bling with the pearls.  I hope you like it.

Fitztown Creative Inspiration

Well it's my turn to provide you with some creative inspiration for this week's challenge at Fitztown.

This week the challenge is Fantasy and I've used this wonderful new image FAE Fairy Cameo, which can be found here on Etsy.

I coloured her with copics and used some chalks to add some subtle colour to the background. I used some bling on the bottom corner of the card which reminded me a bit of the pattern in her dress.  The wings are blue/gray and have a touch of sparkle to them (but it didn't really show up well in this photo).

I had a great time with this image and even coloured her hair in a bit of a funky colour too !!

Back to School and a challenge...

Well it's that time of year...Back to School for many of you and your kids !!  

Can you believe summer is over already...where did it go...and I do wonder how many days of rain we had (too many) 

It's Monday and that means it's time for a new challenge at Craft Your Passion !!

Challenge #229 - Back to School

This week I used this wonderful image from Saturated Canary "Pixie Nerd" 

I coloured her up at a Colour-Along with Alyce Keegan of Kit and Clowder and had a blast.  Finally turned her into a card!

I hope this new school year is MAGICAL for all of you.
