It's time for a Theme Challenge at Catch the Bug

It's time for another Saturday Challenge over at Catch the Bug.

Theme - Down on the Farm

I used the image Knobby Knees - Boy Bugs to create this card.

You can find this image HERE in the Bugaboo shop.

I coloured the image with copics, used a small piece of embossed green cardstock to give it some texture and then added the sentiment.

I found a FREE font online that looks like a Dymo Label Maker, and thought it would be perfect for this card.

I hope you like what I've created an are inspired to play along with us at Catch the Bug.

There's lots going on at Catch the Bug (Bugaboo)
Hope to see you play along with one of our challenges!

Don't forget we have inspiration from out Design Team all week long

I'm entering this card in the following challenges

A retro bike

I created this card for the latest challenge at Inspiration Destination

Sponsored by Dr. Digi

I had a bike like this when I was 12 years old.  I remember it well.  It was a CCM bike with a sparkly blue seat. I loved it.

I used the image from Dr. Digi - Chopper which can be found here.

I hope you like it and inspires you to play along with us at Inspiration Destination.

A boy birthday card

Here's a card I created using a wonderful Sassy Cheryl image. It's been awhile since I've made some boy birthday cards...or at least it feels like it, so I created this card for a little boy. I may add it to my cards going to Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children (if it passes the requirement of no choking hazard - not sure if the string is allowed).

I coloured it with copics and used a Kraftin' Kimmie Trinket for the sentiment. Pretty quick and simple, but I'm sure any little boy will like it.

I'm entering it in the following challenges:
1. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #204 - Anything Goes

Train Spotting...for the boys

Well it's Sunday and you know what that means...another great challenge at One Stitch at a Time !!

Challenge #202 - For the Boys
(and who doesn't need more cards in their stash for boys?)

I used this great image:

I coloured this cutie-pie up with copics and used the blue/red theme...with a touch of grey. I think it would be well received by most little boys, especially the train-loving ones like my son was !!

I hope you'll play along with us this week for a change to win a great prize. Head on over to the blog to see the other wonderful creations by the Design Team.

Mustang Birthday Card

I created this card for my nephew's birthday. He's a big Mustang fan like we are. I tried to replicate the Grabber-blue colour here, but I'm not sure I did it. I used a diamond plate embossing folder for the textured background.

It's a wonderful image from Fitztown, which can be found here:
http://www.fitztown.com/cars.html

I'm entering it in the following challenges:
1. Clear it Out Challenge Blog Hop - 3rd Anniversary
http://clearitoutchallenge.blogspot.ca/2014/02/3rd-year-anniversary-blog-hop.html
(the bling is the grey cardstock which has a touch of glimmer to it, but it's not easy to see in the photograph)

Kards for Kids - Spider Birthday cards

Here's a bunch of Birthday Cards I created for Kards for Kids, HSC. They were quick and easy to make using a Meljen's Designs Digital Spider stamp; I typed the greeting below "Just droppin' in to say Happy Birthday". I'm very pleased with how these cards turned out and have made some extras for myself.

Here's 5 more Kards for Kids BOY Birthday cards I made...thanks Peggy T. for the use of the diamond-plate embossing template...really adds to the cards !! I coloured with copics without too much worry for shading, etc., but I think some young boys at Hospital for Sick Children will like them anyway !! THE MUSTANG STAMP IS FROM RUBBERNECKER STAMPS

Kards for Kids - more boy cards I created

Here's a bunch of boy birthday cards I created for Kards for Kids, HSC. I had fun playing with my copics and colouring the images. The hair and fur on the dog were certainly a challenge, but I was starting to get the hang of if by the end of the day. I hope the kids at HSC like them.

Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps - Challenge #164

Here's a card I created for the KKS Challenge #164. The challenge was to use texture on your card. I used my polka dot embossing folder for the blue strip under the coloured image. I played with my copics yesterday and had some fun and even learned a little !!
