Here's a card I created today after the Canadian Men's Hockey team beat the Americans to advance to the Gold Medal game in Sochi at the 2014 Olympics.

It uses a really cute Cheryl Alger Image from Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps.

I also should mention that I watched the women's game yesterday afternoon and bit all my nails off during it, as Canada came from a 2-0 deficit to tie the game with about 3 minutes left. Then they won in 4 on 4 overtime. Glad that's over...way to go Women's Team Canada Hockey team.

An image coloured by my son...

Here's a cute pic of my son (7 years old) with a Sassy Cheryl image I purchased this morning (Friday January 31st). Pretty much each day or so Cheryl puts a digi or two on sale. I got the girl and the boy image today in black and white and coloured. Super deal at a $1 and $3 each !!

Sorry this pic is a little blurry...he had a hard time holding the image still...and he puts on a goofy smile too...but he was very pleased with this image and it's going in his Daddy's lunch box today before he goes to work at 1pm as a surprise !! He also asked me if he could make some cards with this image !!

All you need is love...

I'm here to say All you need is love...hydro and cable/internet !! LOL !! After the recent ice storm and all the loss of power and cable/internet I'm about at my wits end. Anyhow...my cable/internet is fixed again for a few days; the tech has to come back tomorrow to do something else, and then in two or three weeks to re-attach the cable properly and get it off my roof where it's frozen right now !! So I spent the day waiting for the cable company to come back and try to restore our service for the 3rd time since the ice storm. I've managed to get a few cards made and actually posted here, so it's been a good day...and my boys can watch TV again. All is well.

Surviving an Ice Storm

Wow...this past week or so has been CRAZY but very memorable.

We were hit by an Ice Storm in the Greater Toronto Area and Georgetown was hit very hard. Here's some pics of what it looked like from inside my house:

We were without power for 4 1/2 days, and actually checked into a hotel on the 24th of December so that we could have warmth and nice Christmas morning. Thank you to my dear friend Peggy for arranging this for us. My hubby fell on the ice on the 23rd and fractured his wrist, so he's had a rough go of it, aside from turning 50 on Christmas Day. This holiday has gone by with a blur and I'm not sure we even feel like we had a Christmas.

On a brighter note; here's my son opening his stocking at the hotel room:

We had no internet/cable service until Sunday December 29th, which was tough too. Sadly we lost all the food in our fridge and freezers...I still feel sick about it as we'd stocked up really well for Christmas and the New Year with lots of food.

We are grateful for Hydro and heat and power and internet so much more now that we've experienced this Ice Storm.

Here's a photo I took of my son this afternoon after going out for a drive in our Convertible Mustang to get an end of summer "Ice Cream Cone" in Erin, Ontario. Bailey's Ice Cream Shop is amazing and the portion sizes are immense. It was a beautiful drive, but somewhat cool in the 'stang. Thomas managed to doze off on the drive home !!

I created this card for Kards for Kids, HSC. It uses a gorgeous image by Sassy Cheryl. I coloured it with Copics and added a typed sentiment banner. I'm pleased with how this turned out...fairly quick and simple and I will be duplicating it a few more times for Kards for Kids. I had to adhere the image off-centre because I used some CTMH patterned paper and the CTMH name was in the corner (ughhh...one of my pet peeves about that paper!) I'm entering it in two challenges 1. Double Rainbow Photo (SMT #124)

This is a photo of a double rainbow (one on top of the other) taken at my son's baseball game on Tuesday June 25th in Glen Williams/Georgetown Ontario CANADA It was taken using my Blackberry !!
